The Omega Speedmaster Dark Side of the Moon “Pitch Black” is one of the most distinctive modern interpretations of the legendary Speedmaster. Its nearly monochromatic black design gives the watch a sleek, stealthy appearance while retaining the unmistakable character and functionality of Omega’s iconic chronograph.
The substantial 44.25mm case is crafted from black ceramic and paired with a matching black ceramic tachymeter bezel, black dial, and contrasting luminous hands and hour markers. Despite its dark appearance, the dial remains highly legible and beautifully balanced. The two-register chronograph layout is particularly clean, with the subdial at 3 o’clock combining chronograph hours and minutes while the running seconds are displayed at 9 o’clock. A date window at 6 o’clock adds everyday practicality.
Powering the watch is Omega’s automatic Co-Axial Calibre 9300, offering approximately 60 hours of power reserve and visible through the sapphire exhibition caseback. This example is currently fitted with an aftermarket black strap with red stitching, giving the watch an especially sporty appearance. The original Omega leather strap has never been worn and is also included, allowing the next owner to return the watch to its original factory configuration.
Condition
This 2023 watch is in mint, like-new condition and shows no noticeable signs of wear. The black ceramic case, bezel, crystal, dial, crown, pushers, and overall presentation are exceptionally clean. The aftermarket strap currently fitted to the watch is also in excellent condition. The original Omega leather strap has never been worn.
